Prayer Points for the month of Cheshvan (5787)
PRAYER FOR THE ICEJ
Pray that the oneness expressed during the Feast of Tabernacles this year between the Messianic Body of Christ in Israel and Gentile believers from the Nations would continue to grow. Let us ask the Lord to strengthen theses relationships and give wisdom to know how to demonstrate the true expression of the one new man in Messiah. Pray that the Lord would give wisdom and direction on how to host the express during next year’s Feast of Tabernacles. May this unity grow in maturity and become a powerful testimony of the reconciliation accomplished through Yeshua. (Ephesians 2:14-16)
Pray for the leadership of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem. Let us ask the Lord to give our leaders spiritual discernment, wisdom, and humility as they lead the ministry into the coming season. Pray that anything that seeks to undermine or divert the ICEJ from its God-given calling would be exposed and brought to nothing. May the Lord protect the ministry from deception, strengthen its unity and spiritual vitality, and enable it to continue standing faithfully with Israel and mobilizing believers around the world in prayer. Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong. (1 Corinthians 16:13 AMP)
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL AND THE NATIONS
Pray for humility and a renewed understanding of Israel within the Church. Let us ask the Lord to reveal the roots of pride and spiritual arrogance that have allowed replacement theology to take hold in churches and Christian denominations. Pray for pastors, church leaders, and believers to return to the Hebraic foundations of Scripture and to understand God’s continuing purposes for Israel. May the Lord cultivate the character described in the Beatitudes, bringing forth humility, meekness, mercy, purity of heart, and a hunger for righteousness within His Church. (Matthew 5:3-10; Romans 11:17-29)
Pray for the upcoming elections in Israel. Ask the Lord to grant wisdom and discernment to the Israeli people as they participate in the electoral process. Pray for leaders who will govern with integrity, courage, and a genuine concern for the welfare and security of the nation. Let us ask God to guide the decisions of those in authority and to preserve peace and stability throughout Israel during this important season. May the Lord’s purposes for Israel be fulfilled. (Proverbs 21:1; 1 Timothy 2:1-2)
Pray for Iran and its leadership. Let us pray that the Lord would restrain Iran’s military capabilities and bring an end to threats against Israel and the wider region. Ask God to bring transformation to the nation’s leadership and to release the Iranian people from oppression. “Behold, the Lord says, I will break the bow of Elam and the mainstay of their might.” (Jeremiah 49:35). “I will set My throne in Elam, and destroy their king and officials, declares the Lord.” (Jeremiah 49:38)
Pray for the situation in Yemen and throughout the region, that violence would be restrained and that forces seeking to destabilize the Middle East would be prevented from carrying out their plans. May His purposes prevail throughout the region, and may the nations come to recognize Him as the source of true peace. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you.’” (Psalm 122:6)
